Default s-afc help

I installed an apexi s-afc on my 88 hatch with obd1 conversion running a chipped p06 and a b16, everything seems great as far as the s-afc goes. I go to sensor check and when I press the gas the throttle voltage goes up, and when I release it goes down, but when I got to monitor and I'm looking at the dial for the throttle I press it and it just stays there, doesn't go back down. same thing happened for rpm during the short time I had it running. any idea what the problem is? also, my tach doesn't work in the gauge cluster, it worked once and doesn't work anymore, could this be related to my throttle display problem?

the safc has a peak-hold feature that shows you the highest reading on the last run; maybe you have that turned on?

ya, I talked to doc in PMs and he said that, then I checked it out, got in my car and started hitting switches and it worked again.
