S-10

Will the afc work on a S-10. And can anyone reccomend a way to upgrade the injectors and if the afc hack is capable of happening? I plan eventually going to about 10lbs daily and I have to dump a huge amount of money into ignition but fuel Im hoping to be less than 500

Double Bump. Let's help a brotha out. I've looked, can't find anything on it...but in the instructions for the SAFC, it says to not use it if your vehicle isn't listed...and you know it's not listed.
Besides, you'd rather have the GM thing anyway now, right? The thing that may or may not be stand-alone...

Also, 500 bucks? Almost sounds like a non-existent deductible could take care of that....heh heh.

Hey sorry for not responding to your last PM but I'll just answer it here so everyone knows what I'm aware of.

Currently no one is running an afc hack that I know of. Most of us are simply running check vavles off of the map sensor and FMU's to add some fuel.

On another note quite a few have installed SAFC's so if thats possible the hack may also be possible. I doubt its been done but if you wish to be the first to try it, by all means please show us.

Well, let me know how it goes. What year is yours? I have a 91 that is begging for about 24 pounds of boost. I'm thinking about two small hybrids and a massive FMIC. Damn, and this was supposed to be my beater. :'(

I'd mock you, but it's kind of hard with all the noises my car makes. But don't worry, I'm sure you'll find a way to make this stuff work...just remember, it's not over until you start bleeding.

I know this is not the place to post this but I have to ask? I want to put a turbo on my 99 Chevy S-10 2.2L It has 93,000 miles on it and does not make a sound. I think the motor is the same as what is in the newer cavliers which they just came out with a kit for that. Can I put it on my truck or is there a kit out there for it?

Re:S-10

Well see the problem is the kits for the cavs and sunfires are made for FWD transverse engines and you are RWD.

The only two things I see an issue with are lclearance because reall your turbo manifold might need to be differnt in the way the turbo mounts because of clearance. ANother thing is that your downpipe will be significantly different as well.... It wont be a direct bolt up your probably better off doing your own. There was a guy here who did do a turbo kit and it lookd very clean, I would ask him...
