Runtime error with Turbo Edit

I keep getting a run time error when trying to open some of the bins in my turboedit folder. The files in my turbo edit folder end with .bin or .exp. The only bin that I can open is PGMFI stable.bin it won't work for NA engines.

I tried using the advanced open options but I get the runtime 5 error, invalid call procedure. what gives. I am working with the new 2.0 beta.

Just got a run time 3 error when I tried to import a map for 1.29 version.

When I save a bin in Turbo edit why will it give me the message:

This is not a turbo edit Map do you want to use advanced open?

I just wrote and saved the bin in turbo edit and tried to open it with that message popping up.

This is for everyone... stop using 1.29.

It's no longer supported. (As stated on the website). Any errors with it will be disregarded.

As for the errors in 2.0, you can't "open" .exp files. You can only import those into .bin files.

Second, you can run NA cars on the stable ROM, just go into ROM options, change it from Dual Map to Single MAp (Force Inducted to NA) and import your motors stock maps, then tune.

Why does TE give me no changes in the fuel tables. If I build a custom timing map and want to build a custom fuel map it just wants to enter 2.3 for all values above that. I keep having to use the advanced open method to open the bins.

I am having to use the hex values from a ghettodyne bin because turbo edit won't open without it. Here are the values i am suing for a pm6 based pr5 map:

Ignition table 3DF3
Fuel Table 3EFI
Fuel multiplier 3FFI
Check sum 4930

I have to enter these values everytime I want to open a map in TE.

First off, because TE2.0 doesn't support whatever ROM it is you're trying to open. If it's the old GeorgeHack (The boost bin packaged with Ghettodyne) then it will never be supported. There is a new boost bin.

As for the values not exceeding certain limits, it's because you're not tuning your fuel multipliers correctly.

You've maxed out the current multiplier. IF you don't know how to do fuel multipliers, TE can auto detect the correct multiplier for the colun based on the values that you enter. Click on Tools -> Options -> Auto Detect Fuel Multipliers.
