Default Running lean...why?

2 weeks ago my car was running great at 10 psi and it was hella fast, now it's fast but there is a noticeable difference in horsepower and torque(slower). Also when I turn the boost up, even from 10 psi to 18 psi...the car doesn't really get any faster, just blows off louder.

I got dsm 450s, Walbro 255, AEM fuel rail, ZDYNE gold running b16fi, and my fuel pressure is at 30psi...I thought it was supposed to be around 40 psi?

I am pretty sure my injectors are good, could it possibly be my fuel filter?

When I go in to boost, my A/f ratio guage reads lean but everyone says not to trust those things.

if you are getting a lean reading on a narrowband i'd be getting a new engine ready for your car, id replace the fuel filter they only cost a few bucks then see what happens

If your serious about that happening, you will be breaking some ring lands. When your gauge is anywhere but fully pegged on the last green, you are leaner than 14.7. See my sig for the results of that.

Does your car sound like a Subaru yet? Do a compression test and post back. In the meantime, dont run more than 8psi, and send me your .zdy file to leed16@hotmail.com or post some screen shots of both fuel and ignition in boost.
...or are you running the base supplied boost map for a B16? B16FI.zdy I think.

also if havent done so, check your distributor cap and rotors, check your spark plugs wires, and plugs. Pull the plugs and see if your actually running lean or rich. If you can you can go ahead and replace those parts i mentioned. And i'm not too sure on the fuel pressure on b16 motor. But let us know if there is any improvement on your setup.

I am running the base FI b16 map. B16FI.ZDY, it doesn't matter what map I try using, it's lean on all of them. Also I have forged internals and I haven't heard any detonation. It's never even hitting the green when I go in to boost. When I had the turbo kit on my crx it used to hit green all the time. I bought the fuel filter but I didnt install it yet, I will be doing that tomorrow and let you guys know.
