Fixing your exhaust leak changed the way your wideband reads, not the way your car runs. OBD2 B18 header the stock O2 is just infront of the cat, my wideband is mounted in the front of my 'test pipe' both would be affected. FPR is a B+M unit. |

Large exit B-series FPR will handle Walbro 255HP, A1000, etc. I clown one of the shops I tune for about buying an Aeromotive regulator for their 800 whp car when they could have tapped their fuel rail and run a stock unit. |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
its funny that you say that. i have always thought you could make all the power you want with a stock fpr. i have no intentions of changing mine. i also have no intentions of changing the fuel rail.

Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
good ole H-T. always good for a laugh.
how many times have you been banned from there JD? |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
Twice.
Once for stating, in the Accord forum, that ITR owners were techless toolbags and every post in the ITR forum should be deleted. The ITR forum mod banned me, Knighton let me back in after I told him three times in a row I had nothing to apologise for, and wouldn't apologise. HT was a different place then. Once for calling zex_cool a scammer. That was a fucked up situation, some of the current mods are really sketchy, and it had to go through Knighton because I apparently caused a mod catfight behind the scenes. |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
So, I pulled out my sparkplugs today to find AC Delco plugs gapped at .077....???????
They are getting replaced with a fresh set of NGK V-powers I bought gapped to .044, I suspect that might have been part of the lean problem...... |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
Bingo.

Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
even if those plugs didnt fix your problem, they would have caused huge problems with boost.

Got the Walbro in, Fixed it! So I had a lean condition: Replaced plugs, Wires, and installed an adjustable FPR, and still no-go. Dropped in a walbro 255, Worked like a charm, fixed the lean condition in the higher RPM. Sounds MEAN too *The fuel pump* |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
I have a walbro in my civic and I never hear it.
Now I wonder if the cx pump just doesn't flow enough or if it was dying. What kind of afr's are you getting now? I have always wanted to put a wideband on a stock ecu car, but I have only had one on chipped ecu's |

I have always wanted to put a wideband on a stock ecu car, but I have only had one on chipped ecu's Someone else had told me the stock CX pump just doesn't flow enough (And I have a 92, so its the odd-ball/first year) AFR's I'm getting consistent 13.8-14.2 under load (Including WOT) all the way to redline. in gear, no load, jumps to 16.0-16.8 typically. *GRANTED, noone has showed me how to CALIBRATE my AEM UEGO because I tried reading the manual and it was WAY over my head, BUT I bought it used, so it was calibrated at one point for an Integra LS* The main reason why I used the Wideband to help diagnose this issue, because accurate or not, I shouldn't have been 'pegging lean' at 5700RPM |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
those numbers are what I expected to hear.
Now that its fixed you have to boost it |
Re: Running Lean, nearly stock, wtf.
Stock CX pumps known good to 300 whp.

Now that its fixed you have to boost it B18B1 Walbro 255 T3 Turbo Mani (should be arriving soon) IC Piping and DSM BOV (Should also be arriving soon) ChingChongMeow IC ChingChongMeow T3 .48/60 (VERY soon *Brand new, but from a buddy who never used it, CHEAP*) Resistor Box tapped oil pan oil pressure gauge AEM UEGO Wideband so that leaves: DSM 450's Oil feed/drain lines selling my VAFC for a chipped ECU and a burner. boost gauge Assorted crap. any donations/cheap stuff is appreciated!
