rpm switch or obd conversion?

When i turbo my obd0 b16 i was just gonna run chipped pm6(TurboEDIT) with an rpm switch for vtec but a friend of mine is tellin me that it is better to switch to obd1 and run uberdata. Suggestions? I don't see why it is a problem to run vtec with an rpm switch... I know that the ecu has sumthin to do with disabling vtec if the oil level is too low and if the temp isn't high enough, but if i was careful about both would the rpm switch be just as good as switching to run uber?

It would probably run more efficient with an OBD1 setup but you can certainly stay OBD0 and tune it out to work just as well. As for Vtec actuvation, I'd look into running a PS9 or PM6 and using Turboedit's 1 wire Vtec code. I was running it with my Mini-me setup and thought it was great. You'll have to do some tuning since you will have 1 set of maps instead of a low cam/high cam, but it can definately be done.
If you were to run an RPM switch you'd basically have to do the same thing and tune for the Vtec crossover with TE.
