Is rough idle typical with turboedit?
 

I just got my turboedit chipped ecu in the car.. im running stock pm6 maps with launch control. The car now has a slightly rough idle.. its almost like a small surging idle it goes between maybe 800-1000 rpm back and forth. i didnt remember it doing this before. the vacuum on my boost gauge also flickers a little, not staying in a constant position. any ideas why its doing this? thanks!

IF hes running stock maps then it must be standard??

are you running the stock rom, or the ng28 bin with stock maps?

are your injectors stock?

did you change anything else? vacuum leaks?

if you're running the ng28 bin with the stock maps, did you use the helper ------sheet to compensate for the difference in the vacuum columns?

im actually running ng26.. stock maps, stock injectors. i just exported the maps from the pm6 bin and imported to ng26...

first, there's now an ng30, look in this thread

second, when you import, choose to not import column headings.
third, get xenocron's basemap helper, it's on his website.. http://www.-------------/te/basemap.htm
downloads, at the bottom, the excel ------sheet. this is because of column heading issues..

what's gone wrong is that your fuel maps are not lined up properly with actual vacuum. there was an explanation or a post about this on here I think..

once you're done that, make sure you do the proper startup routine. disconnect power to ecu, wait about 10 seconds, connect again, make sure car is cool, start it up and let it idle (do NOT hit the gas, do not have any accessories on) until it is warm.

ok, so i was trying to go by the basemap set up using that excel ------sheet... im trying to use that ng20 try 2 bin. i went to put the correct injector size in, because im running stock 240cc injectors.. and no matter what it will not let me change injectors back down to 240cc. how can i go about doing this?? also, when i go to type in the new map pressures in the excel ------sheet, some of the columns turn to all 0s. it doesnt matter if i type the map pressure as a positive or a negative number..

You can't. It uses a one way, irreversable, equation.
..probably would have been better to make use of the "Save As.." function. ::)

i didnt set it to 440 anyway, when i dowloaded the ng30 try 2 it was already set at 440 :(

import the stock map, and then do the basemap helper thing to correct it. importing a stock map will bump it back to 240cc injectors.

as for the basemap helper zeroing out, make sure you do not put "-31" or "-17" in the excel ------sheet. keep the numbers absolute.

when i enter the absolute numbers in the column headers it turns a few of the rows into zeros

im wondering if my stock pm6 bin that im using is an older one.. the column headers read in "InHg", whereas the new one reads just negative numbers.. but the numbers from the stock pm6 bin do match up with the headers on the first table on the helper that i paste into. does anyone know where i can get an updated bone stock pm6 bin from? thanks!
