Rich and Lean?

Does Rich mean too much fuel or too much air? And Lean vice versa too little fuel or too little air? I am confused on this one guy tells me this another guy tells me this and someone else has no idea. I always thought Rich meant too much fuel. Any closure on this would really help me out. Sorry for the stupid newbie type question.

Re:Rich and Lean?

When your rich on fuel, your lean on air, and when your rich on air, then your lean on fuel ;D So you can run rich and lean at the same time ;)
