Rev limiter
How does a chipped PR4 limit the revs??? It's a stupid question I know.
1. Spark 2. fuel cut Which way is better for a turbo car? Randy |
Re: Rev limiter
boost cut :8

Re: Rev limiter
Its a fuel cut.
What is better? I think it depends on what you'd be using the limiter for. |
Re: Rev limiter
iK,.... fuel cut FTW! ;D
|
Re: Rev limiter
y would u want to lean the ---- out of your car to slow the rev's?
|
Re: Rev limiter
cut the spark, rich is no good either but a lot better then lean... and when you limit by ignition it keeps your turbo spooled slightly in a launching scenario if your bouncing of it, and just backfires if you go too high..

Re: Rev limiter
exactly

Re: Rev limiter
You guys are wacko...
Fuel cut means ZERO fuel...zero fuel means no combustion what-so-ever...there is no LEAN in this case...just no fire. |
Re: Rev limiter
but when it turns back on would that not fire with the boost already there and become a lean condition?

it shows up lean on a wideband because the WB02 measures amount of O2 (oxygen) content left over from a burn and when that exhaust is all mixed together it would appear lean to an O2 sensor. |
