Default resistor instead of AFC hack ?

Hey guys, I'm sort of an older member, but I have a rather easy question...

My SRT4 is running super rich and I want to put a AFC in it. Problem ? Same as always, I'm broke, hehe...

Anyway, I figure my turbo civic is using the "AFC hack", but all the settings are on -42... So, what's to say I can't just buy a resistor that takes "-42" worth out of the map signal coming from the map ?

The SRT4 needs a RPM based tuning solution, and the Civic doesn't, just wondering if there is a link or something showing how this could be done ( can't imagine I'm the only one that's thought of this... ).

Thanx for any help you guys can give...

Just lower the fuel pressure if it super rich throughout the entire fuel map. Make sure you know what your AFRs are though...

I was thinking the same thing as Xenocron. how do yu know your rich. What have you modded on this SRT4? If nothing, I can see why your rich.

i did a lot of research on the srt's, at stock boost or higher it will run pig *** rich in boost no matter what, like 10:1 afr's, a cheap map clamp, as stated above, is definitly your solution, but, you need to tune the map clamp on a dyno or with a wideband, it works just like an afc in the aspect that it changes map sensor voltage, but it's just an overall top end voltage change to lean it out when at WOT and full boost....
