Replacing PLX wideband sensor
 

My plx sensor got caked with quite a bit of oil when my turbo and motor both went south on me. I'm not sure if this means that I need to get a new sensor, but I'd like to pick one up even if it isn't. Has anybody used the 1stvwparts.com sensor with the plx or can confirm that it works.

iirc the plx uses a bosch lsu sensor so yeah a 7057 from vw parts would work.

but they are pretty stout sensors; but it in a vehilcle close to the turbo or head; run around cruisng on the highway for a while an hour maybe and the 14.7:1 luvin should burn most of that off

have you tried carb cleaner to blast that ---- off?

I typically use carb cleaner to clean up narrowband sensors. It was funny, I was at the chrysler dealership buying parts to fix an ex g/fs neon and they just told me to clean that ---- up with carb cleaner.. worked like a charm.
