Removing oxygen sensor while tuning?

Just a quick question. Ok well i only have one o2 bung welded on my downpipe and i usually just take out the stock 02 and throw in my wideband and tune that way. Is this giving me inacurate reading since the ecu is throwing the o2 code and not reading off of the stock o2 sensor at all?? Or does it not read of it when its fully warmed up? Its not a big deal for me to weld a bung for the wideband i was just curious to if this would hurt it?

you're supposed to disable the stock o2 sensor in your tuning software before you start tuning.

see those check boxes that say disable o2 sensor?

what fook said. i would suggest welding a bung in anyway so that after you get your tune done you can re-enable the o2 to double check to make sure the o2 is doing it's job properly unless you plan on tuning the maps for permanent closed loop disable.

why would you enable the o2 right after you got done tuning? thats just ------- stupid.

Because some people only tune the boost portion of their map.

i dont get that. its not that ------- hard to tune part throttle. i mean ----, dont you want some more fuel economy and a bit more power?
