I just did some tinking and upgrading the memory looks very easy. I might just try that and see what happens.

I got win 98 and use ZTL with no problem. (It wasn't working that good with 2000, i had to go back to 98 and no problem)

mfc42.dll can be extra from the win 98 install cd. Just follow this:

Insert your Win98 CD rom in your drive.
Select Start/Run, type SFC in the 'Open' box and press enter.
When System File Checker opens, select 'Extract One File from installation disk'. Now enter mfc42.dll in the search box and press enter.
When the 'Extract File' window opens, the 'Restore From' box should be set to your
CD rom drive letter as d:\Win98. The 'Save file in:' box should read C:\Windows\System.
Now select 'OK' and follow the prompts.

this should restore you missing file. Hope this helps.

Well, I got this pile of ---- online after spending $100 at Staples. I can't use any sort of wireless adapter with this pile of ---- and the didlo at Staples says they don't have my model in the computer so they don't know what memory I need.

I think this god damn computer is fucked up though. I'm about ready to throw this mother ******. All I wanted it to do was run Zeitronix and I can't get the piece of ---- to do that. I tried to go to the website and DL it directly from there and for some reason I can't open the ------- file because my computer doesn't know what to do. Wow I hate computers. This is ------- gay. Anybody want to buy a laptop?

I can't even run any updats from Microsoft to see if that is the problem. It won't even open the page for the downloads. I get this ------- syntax error and it says there are errors on the page and I click yes and nothing happens. I think I'm going to be driving to somebodies house for an *** beating very soon.......

It's a Dell Latitude CP M166ST

The geek at Staples was talking ---- like the computer wasn't fast enough to run XP.

this is what you need. The wesite I found says the most you can run is 128 meg total. 64 max in each slot.

The type is 144 pin EDO SODIMM, its fairly standard. I will look for 64 meg modules.

My original post was wrong size
