Randomly leaning out?
Well I have 40 fuel pressure. And have always been overly rich. Now when I boost at full throttle im like halfway in stoich. Its weird. Not even cold out, and my settings and fuel pressure hasnt changed at all. Timing is still put as well. I tried riching up and it didnt seem to work. What could this be? Dirty injectors?

Re:Randomly leaning out?
take her to a dyno, those a/f gauges are no where near as accurate as they need to be.

down syndrome?

Re:Randomly leaning out?
Well it has been on the dyno. And I did injector cleaner and threw some new gas in (I think it was bad gas). And now my car is only hitting 2psi at 100% throttle and 5000 rpms. So something definatly fucked. I might just swap this motor soon.

Re:Randomly leaning out?
do comp test. exhaust leak? have you changed ANYTHNIG on the car at all?

Re:Randomly leaning out?
nothing has changed on the car at all. I think it might be a fucked o2 sensor. ???
My reason for thinking this is because when the car on and idling instead of a full scan like it used to. The a/f gauge never exceeds half of the gauge (middle of stoich).. randomly it does for a few seconds.. but its rare. I've richened up my settings and black smoking in boost.. And guess what.. still middle of stoich it highlights like 6 led's at full throttle.. lol Its either the gauge or the sensor itself. I'm buying a wideband.. ---- it.. lol Oh.. and yeah Im hitting full boost again. Turns out those shitty home depot couplings were coming loose and just werent popping yet. So I'm back at full boost again. Ordering some new couplers tonight as well. |
Re:Randomly leaning out?
Hrm.. so.. I added a new o2 sensor thinking that it would cure my problem. It does seem to be reading more accurate. But I'm still in stoich and still smell of running real rich/backfire/etc. Still 40psi fuel pressure at idle. If anyone has any idea please tell me. lol Its making me worried (even though im going back to the dyno soon)
