raise fuel pressure?

alright, I am in the process of boosting a d15b7, instead of using larger injectors cant i just raise the fuel pressure via an adjustible fuel pressure regulator? I am tuning with uberdata and i see i can punch in whatever fuel pressure i am running. I am new to tuning and am strugling to try and figure all of this out. any help would be appreciated.

I know most of you will say "get 450's" and I am planning on doing this but just looking for alternatives.

Re: raise fuel pressure?

Even if you doubled the fuel pressure your stock 190cc injectors would only have equivalent of being aroung 270cc worth of flow, which is inadequate. Also at that high of pressure the injectors don;t operate correctly because of the force on the pintles, thus you won't be able to control the flow of fuel into the engine.

Another thing is that DSM injectors and a resistor box is cheaper than an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. :S

$50 injectors and a resistor box is cheap and dead easy and youll learn the right way

You can score them free if you have some local yards you can walk through and pocket the ----

Maybe try an fmu

alright thanks for the replies, I'm pretty sure i have 240cc injectors thats what i've always thought anyway. I have been throught every junkyard within 50 miles and cannot find these things, really dont want to have to pay too much for new injectors.

50 bucks is not too much for new injectors, compared to the money you're spending else where...

if you dont have 50 dollars to spend on injectors dont turbo your car. I know it seems like you can build kits for free but most guys here do all there own fab work tuning etc and that was after years off ------ thing sup etc. Its not that easy just to throw a turbo on and build an effective cheap kit.

Agreed, you get owned by the little ----.

I understand, i am doing all the fab work and tuning myself, and wanted to see it running this week while i'm on spring break. I will just wait and get some 450's,
