Lemme try: Because DSM's use LOW impedence peak & holds, your 92+ Civic uses HIGH impedence saturated injectors. Hence we must put resistors in line to make the 'electrical pulse' if you will... compatible. otherwise, prepair to grab your ankles!

Right on gimpy...
bottomline is that the ohms needs to match up or at least be in the same range of resistance.
honda stock injectors for 5g is around 12-16 ohms (dont remember exactly but its high impedence)
stock DSM injectors are around 4 ohms (low impedence)... thats why you have to add the inline 10 watt 10ohm resistor.
4 ohms + 10ohms => 14 ohms right around the resistance where the ecu is looking for...
