QUICK FMU QUESTION PLEASE HELP

i have a D16y5 turbo setup ready to go and im trying to figure out the fuel system and managment and i have decided with an FMU for now with a Walburo fuel pump and 450cc injectors...what ratio should use on an FMU i hear everyone saying like 8:1 and 12:1...

can someone just kinda explain what those ratios represent and which would be the best setup for me

also...would it be smart to use an FMU and a S-AFC hack at the sime time or is there no point in doing this?

Re: QUICK FMU QUESTION PLEASE HELP

thought you weren't supposed to use bigger injectors with an FMU

Re: QUICK FMU QUESTION PLEASE HELP

Just get uberdata . Its less then a piggyback/fmu and way better. and a FMU increases your fuel pressure 12psi (12:1) for every pound of boost.

Re: QUICK FMU QUESTION PLEASE HELP

oh ok so if you had a 12:1 disc FMU and you were boosting 6-8psi with 450cc injectors you think it would be fine???

OMG when will people learn to research before they start throwing ---- together? you CANT use the 450 injectors unless you have a chipped ecu with a good base map, or you have a v-afc and you pull those injectors way back with the afc, if you just slap in huge injectors with no controll, you will get fouled out spark plugs, lots of carbon build up, fuel blow by into the oil, and it will thin out the oil and cause a spun bearing, just put the stock injectors back in and run a 12:1 disc in the fmu untill you figure out what the hell your doing, the big injectors cant be in there with out controll unless you want a blown motor, how ever it will survive on the stock injectors and a 12:1 fmu if you run 6-8 psi, thank me, i just saved you from destroying your motor, unless your retarded and dont do what i say....

haha, settle down :P . Yeah man, if you have the fmu .. cool - but later down the road your going to want to upgrade to uberdata/crome/turboedit/hondata w/e.

You can do the FMU for now butnot with bigger injectors. BTW, I have a 12:1 FMU right now w/ B&M fuel reg. and blox missing link...and I WANT better management, the fmu should be fine for now but you'll have to worry about detonation...Im running a lil rich with mine so I expect it to run a lil shitty for now.

Yes everbody this is a old ass post... Using the HMT Search engine i would like to know... what your saying is 12psi for every 1 pound??? is that what your meaning... so by pound you mean injector pound per minute or whatever it is??? So then it would be 24psi is 2pounds???

Re: QUICK FMU QUESTION PLEASE HELP

Not injector pound, 24 pounds above the stock fuel pressure (like 42-45 on most honda's) for every pound of boost, So your injectors end up flowing more yes. Dont even mess with that garbage tho, just do it right like everybody else says and chip ur ecu, its cheeper than you think
