Default Quick CEL question!

This may sound like i'm really off the ball, but how does one go about finding out which code the CEL is reflecting on a 92-95 civic ecu? I belive that there are some jumpers that need to be crossed, but which ones and where. I know on my rex there is a blinking light, obd2 has the code readers.... ---- thanks for any and all help.

I didn't read the link.. but over in the passenger side kick panel (where the ECU is) there is a small service connector. Two wires. Jump the plug (blue) with a paperclip.

Turn your car to "on", and county the blinkies of the CEL on the dash.

yeah i eventually found it and it ended up w/ 1 long blink and then 4 short (crank angle). I think my timing is off a tooth! I'm gonna try to see if that helps, if not, then (as i have had the code before w/ a shot dizzy) i probobly need a new dizzy. I was wondering, though, (this is a 94 b7 i'm working with) whether i need line up the the cam gear w/ the marking that is located on the lower timeing cover gasket or if i need to make the two lines which like inline w/ the head... cause its either one way or the other, they don't line up the at the same time.

1 long = 10, 4 shorts = 4, 10 + 14 = 14?

14 isn't crank angle.. it's EACV (your idle air controller).

[EDIT]
..and btw, you set cam timing on a B7 by lining up the two marks at 9 and 3 o'clock horizontal to the cast of the head.
[/EDIT]

ahh ----!!!! thanks man.... on it right now fucken eacv... got an extra one or two laying around. what it is doing is idleing low and has what i call a hiccup( kind of like it his a rev limiter at partial throttle) at like 1500 rpms. But if you give it at least half throttle it revs like no other! again thanks...

UPDATE: CEL still on, but this time its the o2 even though its new and was installed today, but the idle air code is gone. The problem is that there are three connectors by the idle air that will fit onto it, all three with two wires and the same fitting. And for some reason neither i nor one of my associates that helped do this project did not relize that they were interchangeable, we figured that the plugs would only fit in their aplicable sensor....

So it is running fine, no hiccups, and regular idle, except for the code # 1... like i said i just replaced the o2 today with a new one... could there be a fuel problem or might the sensor be bad and help would be appreciated!

dan

(PS... i tried one tooth each way with the timing earlier today and it made it run worse, i put it back the way it was and checked the igniton timing and everything is fine... just a waste of time.... the ---- was i thinking {crank angel sensor}??
