question on vafc and timing/fuel...for the vafc guru's

I've been noticing that on my z6/14b setup with vafc2 that it seems to pull alot harder and alot stronger when i add more fuel in the wide throttle settings. Now my afr's according to the wideband were coming in around 13.5 pretty much the entire pull. Could it possibly be that my timing may be retarded way too far (the index marker is so far back that it points to the center of the 2 markers instead of the 3) and that by adding more fuel to the motor is trying to make up for the lack of timing near TDC? The injectors are 450 DSM's, and at 3500 rpm I adjusted it down to -28 and it pulled even harder than my previous settings. The turbo seems to spool quicker now as well, and there seems to be more torque to the bottom end. Only problem is I can see huge clouds of unburned fuel going out my tailpipe and smell it strong as well. Any thoughts or ideas? ???

I would say it has a lot to do with your timing and probably a little in your head. ;) AFC is poop. :P

Trust me...i know. the afc was the worst thing i could've used, but it got me going for now. Uberdata's next on the list over the winter time.

that's strange cause on my wide throttle settings i'm at like -37 and it's at or below 10AFR..... umm I'd say reset your timing to stock and check things like fuel pump, injectors (make sure they're not fucked) and your O2 sensor.

Yeah...it's weird. The last time i reset my timing the car ran like total poop. Didn't want to make boost, didn't want to rev up (probably cause of too much fuel). And of course, right after i did that, it started smokin' like a biatch...fucked the rings pretty good i'm guessing. But it's only on the decel...and watch a cloud come pouring out the back when you hit the throttle again. And you can smell the unburnt fuel...makes your nose burn and your eyes water. Really startin' to piss me off >:(
