Question about Uberdata Ostrich

I have a question, im just trying to understand how an ostrich works with uberdata. Does it take away from having to own multiple chips and a burner? It connects to the ecu, then has a box that stays in the car at all times. And then you just hook your lap top to the box in the car when you want to upload the new map, right? Thanks.

Uberdata doesn't let you do real time changes with Ostrich? You can only upload the ROM as a whole?

yeah, it has real time update without uploading changes :D i was just letting him know he had the basic understanding of how the ostrich actually works.

there's no maybe about it, ostrich is the greatest thing since sliced bread y0 :D if i didn't have to use mine to tune other peoples car's, i'd leave it in my car all the time and have the usb cable going to a stationary hub along with a data logging cable and have it mounted on the side of the center console or something and just have to plug right up to the hub to tune/data log without every pulling the ecu out again. i wish i could leave my equipment in my car, i guess i need to buy another one just for personal use :'(
