Question about emanage and timing

Ok so I just tuned a friend's automatic obd2 turbo civic using emange with dsm injectors. Yes I know it sucks ass, but its about the best thing he could run on the setup since none of the obd1 editors work right with the auto stuff. I was able to get a very good fuel curve using it and it wasn't much of a problem at all. The only thing I question is how much timing I am actually running on the car. At WOT and high rpms I have the fuel set at -40% which in my calculations seems to put him around the -3 in/hg column when he is at 7 psi. When looking at the stock p2p timing maps that jacks his timing up about 10* assuming I was using a linear .8* per psi retard. I actually ended up having to retard his dizzy almost all the way to get it to around that area...which if i retarded it anymore the car would try to stall out. The car seems to drive well, but I hate using this piggy back ---- and not having a really good idea of how much timing he is actually running. Does that sound about right?

BTW: the guy who wired up his emange and installed his turbo setup neglected to wire up the ignition harness so I had no control over the ignition timing except to retard the damn distributor :7
