question about datalogging/wideband o2/uberdata

ok im doing lots and lots of research on uberdata and datalogging. my question is, to monitor the a/f ratio on uberdata by using a wideband, you have to hook up the wideband to the laptop right? how do you hook up the wideband to the laptop. the laptop's usb would be connected the ecu right. sorry if this doesnt make sense, i am confused myself. thanks for any help/comments.

planning on using uberdata 1.7, plx m300 wideband, moates burn1 programmer

also, doesnt anybody here use the ostrich thing for real time burning?

Basically your going to end up feeding a wideband sensor signal to your ecu. Then you'll be using either the USB port or Serial port to datalog from the ecu. See, it's not so difficult ;) But all your questions can be answered at the site listed above. Ostrich is still kind of new so I'm not sure if too many people have it yet. I use the "Romulator/pocket programmer" for emulating. I'm happy with it.
