Problem with 29c256 chip

When using ng5 with 27c256, i got no problem , no cel code, idle fine for now, but won't rev pass 4k @ idle (maybe because of the launch control). I can drive it with no problem.
Now using the same bin with 3 different 29c256 chip , i got a solid cel light, car idles like ----, die after that some minutes. (cannot even drive it).

When i put back the 27c256 chip, the car runs fine again. Don't know what to think. I got no problem or error while burning the bin to the chip.

It's got to be a problem with your burner or software. What brand is your burner?

I'm using batronix eprom programmer v3.3. I can burn with no problem or error. I double check the bin after burning with no problem also. This is really wierd and i don't wanna get stuck with this 27c259.

Are you changing the settings on the burner to be burning 29xxxxx as opposed to 27xxxxx

Yeah, make sure your jumpers are in the correct places. Other than that, I don't know what could be wrong. It should run them the same. What you could do is, open prog-studio twice, open the bin file you want to burn, burn it, and then read it back from the chip, then open the same bin file in the other window, and compare and see if they are the same, if they aren't then it's something in the burning process.

WinHex (http://www.google.com search for "WinHex" +"Download") will do a byte by byte comparison of two files for you, exposing the differences and address loactions of these differences.
