Default PM7 Causing lower RPM?

Well my 89 Vtec integra is finally boosting using a PM7 Eprom ECU. The car boosts very nicely but for some reason only revs too 7200rpm is this due to the rpm capabilities of a pm7? or could it be the 3 error codes im getting (codes 13, 16 and 20 aka AP sensor, Fuel injector defect and ELD)

Its a JDM PM7and i do not know what year it is also i dont know if the map was based on a PM6 or a PM7 as a mate wrote it and sent it too me, any help appreciated

Cheers

What do you have the Rev Limit set to?

You can safely turn off the CEL 13 & 20. But the 16 is an issue you should address.

Set the RPM Limit too 8200 on both cold and hot. As far as error code 16 goes i guess im should get off my lazy *** and check wires/injectors. I had the injectors flow tested and cleaned proffesionally before i used them so i assume there wont be anything electrically faulty with them?

Shall I just disable the CEL codes 13 and 20 with the Hex editor? could someone do this for me if i send them my map, i dun wanna take the risk of changing the wrong bit and causing something major lol

Any ideas bout the RPM Limit xenocron?

Fix your codes and then worry about the limit.

There is a program on PGMFI.org called 'NOCEL.exe' that L3STRD (or something close to that) made that disables the Codes you choose without doing it in a Hex Editor. Look for that in the OBD0 section somewhere.

It would be nice...but its also asking for trouble.

Instead of fixing codes most people would just disable them and go on...when their engine blows (because of it) then they blame the tuner or the engine management and thats no good

I wouldnt think an ROM editor owner would want to open themselves up for that...

Disabling the codes doesnt fix the problem though, correct? so if my ECU is in limp mode this is not going to help in anyway? im so dazzled by all the information and knowledge needed to get these damn ECU's running right lol i spent 6 hours last night reading the forums to find an answer for those 3 error codes or why my rev limit is crap.

Ill try the whole disabling the error codes but dont like the idea

Code 13 and 20 are not major sensors...13 is PA and 20 is ELD. I have to disable these on my ECU because the circuitry is a little different. Code 16 is something that needs to be addressed.

You just have to be smart about the codes you disable...and you dont sound stupid so thats good.
