Hey guys i just ripped the ecu out of my 89 crx and it says on the label itīs a PM7. Well i havenīt found much info on the pm7 and the search function hasnīt been working on my comp for awhile so do you guys know if i could replace the pm7 with a chipped pm6. And what this means "PM7 : 89-91 DOHC ZC (JDM 'EF' ECU)" iīm not that much into hondas that i know what that ---- means. Thanks guys

Yeah, a chipped pm6 will run your motor. You can import a stock pm7 map into your editor and play with it from there.

basically both are almost the same , PM7 uses a lil different code than PM6 and it's used from JDM and EDM cars ..

not all pm7 have the external eprom needed

I think that's why he wants to run a pm6 ecu...so he can chip it to run a pm7 map.
