pm6 on a b16a
im currently running a pr3 b16 crx its all wired for vtec, knock sensor, 2nd 02 sensor....but since i think im gonna use a pm6 for TE, out of curiosity i plugged a pm6 into my car and it ran perfect no CEL's only w/o vtec and rev limit at 7000, but the led was flashing code 20 electric load detector no matter how many times i cleared it out, weird part is like i said no CEL, is this just becuase of the extra wires for vtec or knock or second 02?

Re:pm6 on a b16a
correct, its the knock sensor making it do that.

Re:pm6 on a b16a
Your going to want a PS9 for TE its the only ecu that allows 1 wire vtec.

Re:pm6 on a b16a
88dx, are you running TE on your b16a. if so how does it work for you and are you using the ps9 ecu?

Re:pm6 on a b16a
thanks b16mike for lettin me know i was just gonna start cutting those wires untill it was fixed, now i can just go for that knock wire......and i'm not to into the ps9 1 wire vtec set up, it can have side effects, i'll stick with the pm6 with turbo edit and run my vtec off the v-afc.

Re:pm6 on a b16a
Code 20 on the PM6 ECU is ELD.
Has nothing to do with the knock sensor. Your car will run fine...just expect it to always blink 20 times and not show up on the dash CEL light...no biggie. |
Re:pm6 on a b16a
You can cut out one of the bridge BR1 to disable the eld. I think Jason and Dave found this out by examing the canadian pm6 (no eld) and the us one. go to this link for more info http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/view/...erenceUsCanPM6 This will fix your eld code problem.
