PLX M300 users
Alright I have the PLX M300 hooked up in my LS-T in which I am running UD. Its wired into my ECU for dataloging but I have yet to use this feature as I don't yet own a laptop. I made my base map on my desk top and have modified it there after driving the car and making mental notes as to how it ran. I have got it running pretty decent I think ...
Does your WB ever give a steady reading? Mine tends to jump around like at part throttle or idle the reading will dance around from high 14s to low 16s .... I have 2 theorys as to why it does this ... I think my sensor is too close to the turbo, prolly only 8" or so down the DP ... and I don't think we soldered in the "noise filters" that come with the WB when we soldered into the ECU ... Would either of these stand out to you as the cause for this? Would the "Smoothing" option in UD help? |
Re: PLX M300 users
mine jumps around but only by tenths or hundredth(14.0-14.9).

Re: PLX M300 users
during idle or part throttle the readings should oscillate. Its normal and nothing to worry about, if it stays steady its usually a little richer than it should be

Re: PLX M300 users
Anybody else not running the noise filters? How important is it that I get those in there before I attempt to datalog?

Re: PLX M300 users
I have ran it with and without the caps and didn't notice any difference.
If you think it jumps around a little too much, just mask off the tenths digit. It changes so much it messes with your mind, but make it so it only shows one decimal point and you will notice a difference right away. |

^ how do you get it to only show one decmial>??

Re: PLX M300 users
a peice of tape, thats what he meant by "mask off"

Re: PLX M300 users
LOL... I taped mine over last night.
It's so much easier to read without that pesky hundredth digit. |
Re: PLX M300 users
Correction, I meant the hundreths decimal.
I don't know why PLX has the hundreths decimal there. The resolution only allows it to be a "5" or a "0" anyway. :S |
