Re: plx m300
so basicly like I thought when u use it to tune u just watch the gauge and try to make corrections
|
Re: plx m300
It's the only wideband my tuner uses one. I like em, too. They do have a wideband signal out so you can datalog with crome or freelog.
|
Re: plx m300
I see I am going to get crome pro license
|
Re: plx m300
love mine, and it datalogs well too
|
Re: plx m300
what program u run?
|
Re: plx m300
crome free and freelog
|
Re: plx m300
Crome Free > Crome Pro - mainly since I think John Cui died, or at least doesn't deserve money anymore. ECtune is FAR FAR better, and its not very much more, all things considered.
|
Re: plx m300
how do i wire it to data log just like normal and us free log?
|
Re: plx m300
thats what i did
|
Re: plx m300
cool i will try that thanks
|
Re: plx m300
you will need a honda datalogging cable (Moates and Xeno got them). Hooked up to the ECU. The connector is usually installed on the ECU when it gets chipped. It will be on the left of the chip, in the chipping area.
http://www.moates.net/images/cn2_latch_header.jpg Install moates.net USB drivers and set com ports correct in freelog Don't forget to have datalogging enabled in Crome and J12 cut on the ECU if using freelog. |
Re: plx m300
and repeat
dont' forget to cut j12 |
Re: plx m300
yeah my ecu has the pins chris installed them I have to order my cable. J12?
|
Re: plx m300
j12 is a resistor.
Your ecu originally is half duplex for serial connection, which works fine for Uberdata. For freelog and Crome Pro you need full duplex which is obtained by cutting the J12 resistor. It also runs at 38400 baud after it gets cut. |
Re: plx m300
okay so where do i wire the grey and white wires to? I am gonna use as a replacement for the stocker and need to know how to wire it all up the car is a 99 coupe with obd1 jumper?
|
Re: plx m300 wiring?
yup
|
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
okay so i am using the grey (narrow band output) to replace the stock o2. I pined the grey wire to d14 (obd1) but the moment I start the car it is very rough and i get check light what the hell did I do wrong.
|
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
The moment you start the car until it hits 167+ degrees coolant temperature the ECU completely ignores the O2 sensor.
How about you check the code and tell us what else you've done to the vehicle? |
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
okay i will check when I get off work but I haven't done anything else to the car it's just a stock ls with a obd2b-obd1 jumper. Stock ecu
|
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
okay gettin code 41 right when i fire it up. I just read I have to install a resistor between the 02 heater poser and 02 heater ground but witch wire is which?
|
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
Judging by the picture you posted - you have exactly zero information worth knowing anywhere in this thread - you have an OBD1 converted ED chassis. You want a 20-40 ohm resistor (minimum one watt in size) connecting switched ignition power to pin A6 (O2 heater circuit ground).
Code 41 won't cause what you are describing. |
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
You have to a a 20ohm 10 watt resistor to the d14 pin on the obd1 ecu works perfectly. thats what plx said to do. And the pix isn't of my car.
http://www.plxdevices.com/Installati...UsersGuide.pdf thats where i found what to do. Refer to step 8 odd add resistors no more code 41? weird |
Re: plx m300 help car wont run corrrect
It's a heater circuit looking for whether or not there's current being dropped across it. You think that's wierd? Would it make more sense if I told you to plug some Taco Bell into the ECU?
FYI, chasing a CEL 41 when your car runs like ass is a waste of time. But, I've already said as much. |
