nobody runs a b16 turbo on TURBO EDIT?!?!? cmon fellers hook me up with a bin to try...

Good luck with that one buddy :-\ PM6 on a b16 isn't exactly the best setup to run...I looked into at one point and was pretty much told not even to bother, that it's too much of a hassle to tune for boost and vtec. Best bet is to track down an obd0 pr3 and run BRE for your management. I have a couple basemaps if you do get BRE...got one for an sc61 w/dsm 450's on a stock map you can play with. If I remember right it made 278 @ 11psi on a stock b16.

alright so im in the market for a pr3 then, they are chippable like the pm6? just different engine management software...

Yeah, they chip just like a pm6. Just need the BRE software from here...http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=8987...I'm pretty sure you have to have a username and password though to access it.

damnit arn't pr3's pretty expensive. Why does the pr3 rom for turboedit givin me hell, that BRE wouldnt?

Pr3's are starting to get up there. I have 2 of them, and paid about $110 for a manual trans one and $85 for an auto one that was converted to manual. Most people these days just upgrade to obd1 and use either Uber or Crome on a p28 though for dohc vtec's. Everything I've seen with TE seems to be dual-map only for the newer bins(with the exception of older pr3 bin's...they show the quad-maps), so it's like trying to cram hi and low cam settings into one map, and hi and low ignition into another. Plus with BRE it lets you set values up to around 9k rpm, unlike TE that limits it to around 7400 or so. BRE also uses a knock sensor disable if you don't have one in your block or you broke it, oil pressure disable for vtec activation, second o2 disable, speed limiter disable, temp check, cel check, etc. Also has recognition for up to 3 bar map sensors too, and an auto-tune feature. Honestly, if you want to stay obd0, this is probably one of the best and most extensive ways to go.
