PEOPLE WITH PLX m-300
i just bought one and its coming in the mail, since it doesnt datalog the rpm with the a/f ratio how do you tune it ( i know use a program with datalogging) but does uberdata have this? i planin using a vafc2 to tune for a while and then switch over to uber when i learn more, but how am i going to figure out the a/f ratio:RPM:%throttle.. or does %throttle not even matter? the way i was thinking was kinda ghetto ( video tape the wideband along with the vafc, with the vafc on RPM/throttle %, upload it onto a computer, and slow it down frame by frame to see what the a/f ratio is at what RPM at what % throttle, then i'll make changes via VAFC accordingly)

It's difficult enough to tune via graphical readout on the Zeitronix datalogger. Uberdata would make it 10x easier, becuase you can see the lambda trace plotted on the actual fuel maps and make changes accordingly. Your video tape idea would be uber-ghetto, (pardon the pun) and more difficult (and possibly risky) to tune than simply using uberdata. The throttle position sensor voltage is only used to switch between closed/open loop operation and to operate fuel modifiers that make tip-in smoother. The rpm, pressure, and wideband readings are what I would use to tune with first. You can tune fuel first, timing second, and then just play with other misc. settings in Uberdata. I don't think tuning with a videocamera (not using a datalogging program) would do you any good at all.
