P28 ECU - Will These CHIPs work?
I'm still trying to find the right Batronix chip model number, that will work with my P28 ECU and the Batronix Eprom Programmer.
From what I understand, the "stock" chip on the P28 ECU is the 27C256 EPROM. I would like someone to confirm which of these chips will work best for this application: -> M27C256B-10F1, 256K (32K*8), 100ns, UV EPROM -> SST27SF256-70-3C-PG, 256K (32K*8), 70ns, Flash, el. erasable replacement for 27C256 -> AT28C256-15PI, 256K (32K*8), 150ns, EEPROM -> AT29C256-70PI, 256K (32K*8), 70ns, Flash EPROM All of them can be found on the Batronix website at: http://www.progshop.com/shop/eproms/index.shtml#27C_DIP Thanks, Peter |
Re:P28 ECU - Will These CHIPs work?
I think that I've figured out which Chip I should get for my P28 ECU.
According to the article in clubboost.com: http://clubboost.com/forum/index.php...&st=0&#entry93 ...the 29C256-12PC CHIP can be used. Based on this, I think that I should get THIS chip from BAtronix: AT29C256-70PI, 256K (32K*8), 70ns, Flash EPROM Someone please correct me if I'm wrong :o P. |
Re:P28 ECU - Will These CHIPs work?
Yep the only one you listed that doesn't work is the 28 series. I can't remember the exact reason they don't work but I know that they do not.

Re:P28 ECU - Will These CHIPs work?
28C have different pinout - they're like the DS1230Y not the 27C/29C. A? and VPP are switched or sumthin.
