p14 ECU to any OBD0

here is my current situation. I have a 92 accord EX. I am going to swap a prelude SI engine (H23) into my car and turbo it. The ecu that it uses (p14) is not supported by turboEDIT and i would really like to try that out.

how much work would be involved to convert from a p14 ECU to any of the turboEDIT supported ECUs? Which ECU should I use? I would like one that already has pre-programmed maps that i can upload to work with my H23 (if they exsist) any imput is appreciated.

convert to P06 (or any in the family) and go Uberdata.

going to OBD0 is ass backwards....

This is what I did on my 91 LX.

As much as I believe TurboEDIT is the be all end all of OBD0 ECU tuning...

GC is correct. ;) Swap to a Civic harness, and run a Civic ECU. It's is a bit nonsensical to go to OBD0. :D

Re:p14 ECU to any OBD0

you dont even need to swap harnesses, the 4th gen Accord (1990-1993) was the first OBDI Honda to my knowledge. Pinout and plugs are the same as a 92+ Civic/Teg :) Just pop the P06 in, use some F22 basemaps (ive even posted some on pgmfi.. but they're kinda rich) which will be fine on an H23 .. and off you go!

I wasnt trying to hurt your feelings Jason :)))

As for the harness being the same... I don't think it is.

I tried to make an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness out of some OBD1 Accord plugs, and some of the wires were different/missing.

I'm 100% there are different wires... however, I have no idea if the P06 will still work when plugged right in.

Dude, I owned a 1991 Accord LX for 8 years....I think I'd know a little something about this :) I am the pioneer of Civic ecu's on accords on pgmfi .... the only things that would be missing is auto ---- because Accord/Preludes have external tranny controllers. Also the accord/prelude have EGR's.. which most civic/tegs dont.

Its totally plug & play.... with a civic/teg 92+ ecu.. far as the hardware goes on a manual car.

Re:p14 ECU to any OBD0

Maybe that was the difference? ...I don't know. I'll take pictures of the D16Z6 harness, and the Accord one.

..and highlight the differences for you. I'm not doubting what you're saying, I just know that the harness I pulled from the Accord was different from the harness I pulled from the Civic.

I assumed they were the same, that is why I took the one from the Accord. When I went to make the harness, they were different. ::shrug:: Whatever.. :-\

i know on Hondatas website they say to use the civic integra ECU, but they make no mention of harness swapping so that leads me to believe it will work. Anyway, thanks for the input guys im gonna go check out uberdata.

94-95 Accords you have to swap A6 and A11 (EGR solenoid and 02 heater)..but otherwise they're all the same :) They say use P72 because some accords have IAB... which your H23 would too.

---- i didnt even notice this thread. I was responding to the same damn question in the uberdata thread :-[

Anyway, what about a h22 map? I know its vtec but are the timing and fuel in the low cam about the same? If so i have one on my computer that was converted to a p28.......

I also have a p14.bin on my computer i just downloaded from pgmfi but its just a raw dump and uberdata doesnt want to open it or import it.....
