P05 vs. P06... what is the difference?

I just ordered 3 P06 ecu's from a member on this site but when they arrived i got 2 P05's and 1 P06. What are the differences between them and also how can i tell the difference between auto and manual.

If you are going to chip them, it doesn't matter. If you are going to use the P05 as a stock ecu in a DX/LX then it does. Pgmfi lists the P05 as using a 1 wire o2 sensor. I'm not sure about that, my d15b8 swap had a 4 wire o2. Anyone confirm this?

The only difference between a P05 and P06, is the O2 heater transistor.

and the stock map/ mcu.
So I just did some reading at pgmfi and some p05 ecus had 1 wire 02 and some had 4 wire o2.
Check if you have Q30 and if not, add the q30 transistor in then your ecu is ready to use the heated o2 sensor.

Damn. I order 3 Manual P06's and i get two manual P05's and one auto P06. They dont have Q30 but i guess its an easy fix. Can i just buy a transistor and radio shack?

It's a C144 transistor that you need.

The auto to manual conversion is really easy:

USDM Auto to Manual:
* remove RP17 and RP18
* replace RP18 with a jumper wire

What exactly are you planning on using these 3 ECUs for?

I have a hard time believing you would buy them and sell them but not really know what you are doing with them :-X

The Q30 transistor is the same as the Q26 NPN transistor...

I dont really get what your saying. I bought them. Im not planning on selling them. And i do know what im doing with them...im chipping them. Now i just have to do a few extra things to them that i didnt expect but its not a big deal. What did you mean?
