Ostrich RTP and TE

Ostrich RTP and TE
So I've seen that it was in the works for TE to support the ostrich(which I have), but then it went open source. Is there a file that I can d/l somewhere to make it work? My problem is I'm using a PM6 so uber and chrome and all the other programs on pgmfi are not an option for me.
Thanks

Re: Ostrich RTP and TE
TurboEdit has supported the Ostrich for over a year my friend.
I believe all version 2.5.2 and higher have correctly working functionality...and the open source guys have taken this to actual working AUTOTUNE

Re: Ostrich RTP and TE
don't I still need to setup the ostrich with my computer so that when I plug it in to the comp, the comp recognizes the ostrich and can communicate with it?
I think this is where I'm getting, lost, but when I get home I'll try plugging it up and see if i can upload some roms from TE.

Re: Ostrich RTP and TE
Well I plugged up my ostrich to my comp and everytime I click Real time programmabilty in TE w/ a bin open, it says
run time error '8002'
invalid port number
I keep going to tools, then options, then changing my port number and get the same error message everytime
I also do have ostrich selected under tools, options.
Thanks for the help

Re: Ostrich RTP and TE
Go into Device Manager, make sure your Ostrich is installed correctly. If so, it'll create a device entry under "Ports". I can't remember exactly what it's called. Something like USB to Serial, or some ----. You'll see it... Then next to it, it should tell you what port it is.
If you can't get that far, then, well, you have other issues. Consult Craig on getting your Ostrich installed.
