obdo to obd1 conversion harness.
 
ZC I used this to build my own conversion harness. Unfortunately I am the one writing it lol. http://www.talkjdm.com/showthread.ph...217#post128217 and it is working ZC but I keep getting a code 4 ckp so I switched the input and ground around same thing code 4. I double checked my wire diagram and is all look good to me (using honda etms ).


Why am I getting a code 4? The dizzy works just fine on my obdo ecu. I know the obd1 ecu is good too. So it in my wireing. Has any one had luck making there own harness?

OBD1 and OBD0 distributors are not compatible.

----. What is different? number of teeth? Wave form? Can I retro fit a new sensor or distributor shaft in?

16 vs 24 tooth CKP sensor.

Any 92-00 distributor that bolts to your head will work. There's no way to fiddle the existing distributor, sorry.

That’s all write thanks for your help. At least I can stop pulling out my hair LOL. Ran ok just the code 4. So I am getting some were.

Yah, TDC and CYP alignment is the same, but the timing is locked because the ECU sees a conflict between TDC and CKP.

intersting.. more enlightenment on this please i got code 9 (cyp) and car run fine in boost just really crappy between 11-0 vac

Your timing is locked, also.

The way the ECU deduces which distributor sensor code to throw DOES NOT always mean that sensor is faulty. You mostly see this when rewiring a different OBD distributor, or using an OBD0-1 conversion harness where the distributor is pinned to whatever the specific harness maker decided to pin it to that day. If your car has been running and then you pop a specific dsit sensor CEL then it is 90% likely that sensor/wiring/airgap is the problem.

CYP lets the ECU know when TDC on #1 cylinder occurs, and the ECU uses this to deduce sequential fuel injection (idle emissions). If it's not getting/not getting legible CYP information for whatever reason, it will also lock your timing. I wouldn't boost on that, you need to fix it.

Ok I have a distributor it fits in the distributor hole. No bolt holes line up so I will just make something to bolt it to. My question is there are 3 sensor. The one that has only one tooth do I alight this one with tdc #1 compression stroke rite? cyp is one tooth, tdc is 4 and ckp it a lot??

it did run just really crappy when it was cold (in vac up top close to boost..) i drove like that for almost a month (fuel millage was worse cuz i had to floor it more)
but i did fix it it was torn wire on my home made obd 1 conversion (chopped stock obd2 wires and spliced in obd1 pig tails) it broke cuz i had the ecu unbolted and it was dangling around on the wires for a few weeks :1 not it bolted like it should be..
