obd2 tuning
 
is it posible to tune obd2, or do i have to spend more mony and get the obd0 conversion, or is it posible to have tuner shop tune my car i hear that some places wont evan touch obd2 so i guess wut im asking is it imposible to tune obd2 or is jsut hard and rare to find, also i live in madison wi so ther r a few good tune shops but there r manny

You can't chip your ecu, if that's what you're asking.

You can still run an AFC or Greddy e-manage.

But converting to OBD1 and running Crome is the best option IMO.

I'm in Madison too.

yea i know it just i paid to like 300 buck to convert my motor to from obd2a to obd2b and i dont want to have to spend the money to redo it, i have a 97/99 civic ex d16y8 garret turbo wut tune shop in madions u recomend im a newbe to boost

Why would you want to convert to OBD2-B? As of now your best bet is to convert to OBD1. You will need a conversion harness and a chipped OBD1 ECU. The conversion harness will cost about $40 and you can find chipped ECU's for about $150. I am also from madison and i have several chipped ECU's that i can sell you cheaper than youll find anywhere else. PM me if you want one.

kendogg you should hit ryan up. It's just too bad that you already wasted money on an OBD2B conversion; don't make than an excuse to keep that system for quarter-assed tuning.

OBD1 ftw.

the only way i can put my engine in my car was to convert to that cuse 99 r diff obd is was ether do that or rewire the entire and i mean entire car im jsut looking for a shop in or around madison that can tune obd2 if it not posible then i will figure some way to convert it

i jsut wasent thinking bout tuning in the future, when i did the conversion was jsut kinda werid about getting the car started dumb part on me that y i wana see if it posible befor i blow morre moeny

it not as bad as i thought cuse i wont losse very much money cuse the expensive wire harness i paid 300 for u need if i were to convert to obd1 the only thing i would lose moeny on is the 40 doller jumper wich i can jsut prolyl sell on egay for 40 and make it back so im jsut going to convert to obd1
