obd2 -> obd1 harness ?'s

ok, here goes: the best price i've found for an obd conversion harness is jdmshit.com and i'm also aware (thru LONG hours of reading this forum) that to convert my D16Y7 to OBD1 i need to change the wiring and IACV (if this is wrong pls correct my noob ass). my ? is does the jdmshit harness take care of the wiring at the ecu end or will i have to repin it?

You have to repin it. That harness is for the Y8. I have done the conversion and its easy and works.

pm me if you want his email address.

you need to make sure you get the correct obd2-1 harness. 96-98=obd2a 99-00=obd2b. you'll need to get a 5 speed y8 manifold that has the iacv on it and y8 throttlebody. you will need to move/repin one of the wires in your existing harness for the 2 wire iacv swap. don't cut any of the wires just move the one wire and then solder a 2 wire iacv connector to your existing 3 wire...this will allow you to swap the throttle body back and your stock ecu for emissions testing. all you will have to do is that and move the wire on the stock harness along with stock inj and pass emissions all day long.

unfortuneately the ff-squad site isn't totally back up yet, but when i get back home mon pm i can post up which pin to move on the harness.
