OBD0-OBD1 dizzy conversion
#3
Re: OBD0-OBD1 dizzy conversion
First you have 7 wires to use. Left side is OBD-0, right side is obd-1/2. The colors give will be the factory Civic wire colors.
OBD-0 (ECU Pin) OBD-1 (ECU pin)
Wht (B12) ~ Blu/Yel (B16)
Org (B10) ~ Blu/Grn (B15)
Wht/Blue (C4) ~ Wht/Blu (B14)
Org/Blu (C3) ~ Org/Blu (B13)
Blu/Yel (C2) ~ Wht (B12)
Blu/Grn (C1) ~ Org (B11)
Wht(slightly larger, ignitor wire) ~ Goes to same wire on Dizzy side, the solo wire by itsellf
There are 2 white wires in the obd-0 harness. To prevent confustion, strip back the tape/loom on the harness and find the wht wire that doesn't run into a shielded cable. That white wire is your ignitor trigger.
The list I've given is the way I do things when I build obd-0 ---> obd-1 conversion harnesses. I've seen the pins swapped around in the conversion harness that allows for color to color matching at the dizzy wiring. If you get a no start condition check/trace your wires back from dizzy to the ECU and insure proper pin to sensor wiring.

Here are wire colors that i have on my OBD1 TD60U distributor and OBD0 engine harness (=distributor):
First you have 7 wires to use. Left side is OBD-0, right side is obd-1/2. The colors give will be the factory Civic wire colors.
OBD-0 (ECU Pin) OBD-1 (ECU pin)
Wht (B12) ~ Blu/Yel (B16)
Org (B10) ~ Blu/Grn (B15)
Wht/Blue (C4) ~ Wht/Blu (B14)
Org/Blu (C3) ~ Org/Blu (B13)
Blu/Yel (C2) ~ Wht (B12)
Blu/Grn (C1) ~ Org (B11)
Wht(slightly larger, ignitor wire) ~ Goes to same wire on Dizzy side, the solo wire by itsellf
OBD-0 (ECU Pin) OBD-1 (ECU pin)
Wht (B12) ~ Blu/Yel (B16)
Org (B10) ~ Blu/Grn (B15)
Wht/Blue (C4) ~ Wht/Blu (B14)
Org/Blu (C3) ~ Org/Blu (B13)
Blu/Yel (C2) ~ Wht (B12)
Blu/Grn (C1) ~ Org (B11)
Wht(slightly larger, ignitor wire) ~ Goes to same wire on Dizzy side, the solo wire by itsellf
Converted list:
OBD-0 (ECU Pin) OBD-1 (ECU pin)
5 or 7 (B12) ~ Blu/Yel (B16)
3 (B10) ~ Blu/Grn (B15)
2 (C4) ~ Wht/Blu (B14)
1 (C3) ~ Org/Blu (B13)
6 (C2) ~ Wht (B12)
4 (C1) ~ Org (B11)
5 or 7 (slightly larger, ignitor wire) ~ Goes to same wire on Dizzy side, the solo wire by itsellf.
Orange=peach.
I am confused about OBD1 wire colors. Everything is OK, just one wire bothers me. As you can see, i have green/yellow wire, which can not be found on that instructions. And there is a blue/green wire, that i don't have.
And that two white wires. One on my OBD0 distributor has a red tape taped around. I am confused which one goes where.
