Seems like you have put in a SOLID effort...

Datalogging with NG60 ROMs works in both TurboEdit and BRE

Re: obd0 datalogging

you have to be using one of the newer versions of TE and datalog is built into it, in fact not only does it work but it works VERY well especially if you utilize the maptrace function.

the problem is that you installed an old version of TE to get your ostrich to work, you should uninstall that and install the newer version, what i would do is take all the files out of the turboedit folder except for the actual turboedit.exe file and copy them to anouther location, then install the newest version of TE and add all those files to the same folder as that you copied from the old version to the new, this should allow your ostrich to work.

or you can uniinstall all that ----, downgrade your firmware using the available drivers from moats website ( the install link is the actual title of the driver, just click on it and it will auto install) then your ostrich should work, basically all the difference is when you turn on the real time edit function in TE it sends a version request to the hardware which in turn responds with a code of something like 10+07+O , this code tells TE what hardware device is connected (10=ostrich 5= burn1, ect the next number is the version of firmware, the last is O for ostrich B for burn1, yada yada) anyway, i'm drunk and don't remember what it is that i was explaining now....

ok, so I got datalogging to work with ecucontrol by its self. and I got datalogging to work with the ecu control plugin in turboedit. so it is cool and all and I can see the values and all but how do I record and replay after a run so I can tune accordingly????? it has an opion to save maptrce, but all it saves is a text file???

Re: obd0 datalogging

i never was able to figure this out...but at the same time, I didnt try to hard, I would just try to tune by looking at the ------ sheet ecuControl makes. So, I too would like to know how to do this.

Re: obd0 datalogging

yeah, when you save your datalogging session, you get a csv file (comma seperated file). You can open it in notepad, but its not very clear, just a bucnh of numbers and commas...and they are not lined up, so its hard to make sense of them. However, MS excel opens it in a ------ sheet, so its easy to see whats going on, sort things by column headings, etc.

I was thinking you were originally talking about the auto tune feature on turbo edit...thats what I couldnt get to work right or figure out how to use it. I'm sure there are other features that I would like to use in TE that I didnt take time to learn about.
