Not getting Fuel (methinks)

I fixed the water in my oil problem... went to start the new motor... and nothing.

Neptune seems to be functioning correctly.. but I think I have some wiring issues or something..

The datalogger shows 44psi (3.84v) on the map... and the tps shows -1% and wont move..
i triple checked the wiring diagrams and think they are right.. but who knows..

the car turns over great, has good spark... I have ~38psi of fuel pressure...

the car has 1000cc injectors, i setup the map to go from the stock ones to it, but havent touched the fuel numbers after that...

should I be able to smell gas on the plugs or anything? cause I cant...

can you wire a resister box in backwards??? maybe I did that... i dunno.. once again i need some help here.. :'(

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

Oh, and I cant find the plug for ECT... I think I cut it off thinking it was power steering switch... since they are both green and black apparantly.... could that be why it wouldnt start?

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

swap your tps and your map senc. plug??

dmotoguy 08-28-2008 04:37 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

tried it... no go >:(

I have a second map sensor plug, that looks like its for a firewall mounted map... maybe its the one that I need to use... i'll try it...

I have no ------- clue on the tps though :( or ect...

Lesson #43: dont buy a car that has been modified by other people.. it took me 6 mo to figure out my eg coupe had an integra harness... none of the wiring diagrams were working for me...

HMTguy 08-28-2008 05:58 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

The plug is the same for a firewall or throttle body mounted MAP

dmotoguy 08-28-2008 06:08 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

yea... im just going to try it since i have both in my car... and see what it does...

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

somebody tell Mr. Joseph Davis to look this way and throw down some knowlege... i dont know what to troubleshoot next... (other than fixing the map, tps, and ect)

why not pm J.D.

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

if you're getting fucked up values for map, tps etc. I'd grab the pinout for ecu (who cares what wire color gets it there through what engine harness, go straight to ecu) and a multimeter and start checking continuity from sensor to ecu. then check the supply and output voltages and ground at each problem sensor also.

If your map is reading 44psi something is not right. But that could be a simple miswired map and a boost cut set to kill fuel. Fix your ---- before trying to figure out why it doesn't run.

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

sounds like you have serious wiring issues. listen to the guy above me. fix that ----

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 01:57 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

I fixed it all last night... no more codes, all of my sensors are working correctly now.... but I still have NO fuel (have good pressure, injecters not opening)... where should I start checking? 1000cc precision injectors w/ resister box.

I would help you, but im gonna go buy a catch can instead because thats easier.

BAHAHAHA!!!!111!!11one!!11

what car is it. i had trouble putting a resistor box in a 00 si once, but eg's are easy and ef's are even easier

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 02:11 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

Its an eg...

I used a multimeter to find the injector wires at the dead end plug and wired the bich up..

sorry sdrawkcab... i'll go get one of those pumps if you help me :-*

Scott-EP 08-30-2008 02:15 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

you should have 4 wires all the same color that come from the injectors and go into the resistor box. i havent done it in a while but i think they are yellow/black. then there will be one wire going into that big dead end plug that gets 12v. "T" off that and run 12v to the resistor box. when i did it, i just depinned the injector wires from the dead end plug and put them into the plug for the resistor box. looked stock as ----

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 02:29 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

hmmmm... i might have forgot to run the 12v to it... i'll go check... thanks man.

SDRAWKCAB 08-30-2008 02:40 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

WITH THE CAR OFF!
Stab the red wire with a meter and check all the yellow black wires at the injector plugs to make sure they are around 7 ohms.

If they are, do like Scott said.
the dead plug has 7 wires in it, twist the 3 that are not injectors together and that is your red.

Atticus 08-30-2008 02:45 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

my resistor box has 5 wires
1 to each injector = 4
5th old wires connect to this one

dont know any thing about a 12v power
its a resistor shouldn't need power

Scott-EP 08-30-2008 02:50 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

its 12v for the injectors. The ecu supplies ground to make them pulse

oh. my bad

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

so I just checked them and there was ~7ohms of resistance... they arent getting power... I'll check out the wiring diagrams and try to find the issue..

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 03:15 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

I had a connector not connected... ::) some douche told me it was a dead end lol.. ----... now I have continuity from the ecu to the injector.... time to try it out... ;D

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 03:43 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

and......... Nothing. :-[

any other ideas?

b18c, neptune rtp, 1000cc injectors, basemap, no codes, wiring checks out fine... good fuel pressure...

Scott-EP 08-30-2008 05:17 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

try adding some fuel from 1k rpm and down. I had to do that when I went with bigger injectors

stenseltizm 08-30-2008 05:22 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

so do you have 12v at the injectors now? With key on all the injectors should get 12v and the ecu connects the other pin to ground to fire them. Just checking wasn't sure from reading this.

and here was a diagram jd made for wiring in the resistor box using a distributor plug instead of the 'dead plug' that distributes power.
http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8...nindianbi6.png

also do the screw driver trick to see if your injectors are opening or not. maybe they are and like the guy above you just don't have the thing tuned right.

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 06:04 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

resistor box is wired right..

I am not getting the power to the injectors though.... what relay or fuse should I check??

dmotoguy 08-30-2008 06:50 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

Im 99% sure its my main relay... of to honda I go... they actually have one in stock :S

stenseltizm 09-01-2008 08:50 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

pull the cover off and heat up all the solder points with a solder iron. Just reflow them is all you need, I added a little new solder for good measure.

Did you follow the manual on testing the relay? It's pretty simple to test.

You could also just jumper past it and see if you get your 12v then.

dmotoguy 09-01-2008 09:14 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)

I feel like a dunce, I went and got a new relay and it didnt fix it.... so i popped out my handy test light and went to town, wasnt getting 12v at the resistor box... was inside the firewall... I had a loose connector on the harness. ::) ::) ::) easy fix lol

SDRAWKCAB 09-01-2008 10:50 PM

Re: Not getting Fuel (methinks)
