Nigs help with OBD issues
 

Ok i'm running a turbo d in my 2000 civic, so i'm running a chipped p28. Obviosly i can't hook a scan tool up to the OBD2 port. So i was thinking of soldering an obd1 honda dlc connector into the conversion harness. That way i could hook up an obd 1 honda scanner adaptor and be able to do cool things.
Only problem, i'm not entirely sure which wires to hook up to. I've looked at a ton of diagrams and i've found two wires so far, light blue, and a green/wht. Now i'm assuming that the green and white is a ground since it's also shared by other sensors, and the light blue is a communication wire. However i can't find anything about the 3rd wire. There are 3 wires right? Also what pins will the third wire hook in to? I've found that the light blue wire is pin D7 and the green/white is D22.

what is so hard about jumping 2 wires and counting a flashing light?

i do, and i have no problem with that

But i'm going to school at NE tech for auto technology and i wanna hook my car up to a few scan tools there to learn the readings of the different sensors and play with some other things. I always want to see what my map sensor is reading for boost because i know my boost gauge is out of calibration.

ok well in my quest to hook my obd1 ecu up to a scan tool, i found out that pin D7 which is supposed to be the light blue wire that hooks into the DLC (Txd/Rxd wire) connects to my jumper harness at pin 26. That wire supposedly detects an ECT signal. Now i'm sure there's a reason for it, assuming i have all my pins correct. However i was looking at empty spots in each side of the harness, and i found that the knock sensor wire from the car side of the harness is connected to the brake switch pin on the ecu. WTF. I can understand them not connecting it, incase you're not using a vtec ecu with the harness, but could i just unplug it from the brake switch pin, and plug it in where the knock sensor is supposed to go?
