NG28 feedback

I've been busy for a while and unable to help with the testing for newer editions of TE and the TE rom. I just made a new file using the NG28 in version 11 of TE, I opened it up and imported ZC maps and used the create function for the boost ignition and the new boost fuel routine for the fuel (obviously) burned it on to a chip and took it for a spin.

I turned the boost down to 5psi and set off, I noticed that the car ran really jerky in vac and boost especially around 0vac and this made it almost undriveable, also the idle was rough although it did sit at about 950, which i prefer rather than 800 but it was no way near as smooth as NG5 and 5.5

Would someone help bring me back up to speed with the current goings on as things seem to be moving forward extremely quickly, I'm also able to test at the minute althought i dont have a wb

DOHC ZC
PP5 ECU
450's
FMIC etc

I have a turbo DOHC ZC running Tuner Toys 450 injecters and a FMIC. I just got my ECU back from Xenocron. He installed a socket and burned a base map chip for me. Car runs great, idles like stock and runs right to 10lbs of boost with no problems. I should have gone with TurboEdit in the first place. Now I am looking into getting a WB and start tuning. Thanks again to Xenocron for the work on my ECU. I would also like to thank TurboEF and all the other people that have worked so hard to bring this program to life. I am so glad I didn't change to OBD1 ;)

I think you can't import maps from the older NG versions...older then NG26 I think.

Maps are somewhat different in Vac regions between NG5 and NG2x

try leaning out your idle regions until they settle or start to feel like its having a hard time idling.

nothing around 0 Vac that i know has been touched but I have been seeing some lean spots at 0 Vac just after getting on the throttle...i thought this may have been a bad TPS on my end, but im not the only one who has seen this issue.

Sikiocivic, thanks for the props...BTW, so you know, you are on NG5-5 code right now.

well i decided to try a different method, i copied the tables onto ------sheet and then copied them on to ng5 rom and tried that and it also ran like ----, whereas i have been running ng5 succesfully for a long time now so i think they are a little on the rich side.

I'm Running NG28 w/blundars NG26 PM7 Boost Maps. Car runs good and strong. My idle sits a little low(650rpm) at some points but other then that it is all good.
I haven't made my own basemap (timeissues with work/school) and blundars PM7 maps have never given me any issues.

te9 on ng5, ive been using this for a while succesfully but i wanted to try and catch up. It seems you are still using this combo Xeno.

Sorta kinda...ng5-5 idles like crap on my car...i supposedly have a new TB in the mail that i hope will cure this...if it does, yes I will be running ng5-5 so i can get past that 8-10psi boost cut in NG2x series.

Re:NG28 feedback

good luck with the TPS issue BUT i have been experiencing some idle problems, they arent as prominent as they were in a previous rom. It usually idles really low, sometimes it goes so low that when i step on the accelerator it dies, and then struggles to start up. What are your problems?
