Newbie!! Turboedit Need some ?'s Answered
 

Ok, i plan on turboing a d15z1/y8 mini me, that is in my CRX.

I will be using a t25 and plan on boosting at its internal wastegate of 8lbs. Im worried about fuel, and leaning out, i dont want to get a sfac. or a expensive zdyne unit.

Im running a obd0 pm6 ecu, and a lot of people have told me to switch to OBD1!!! My questions is which would be better? Ive been looking at turboedit, and can i put the p28 maps in my pm6?? I also need a way to activate vtec, im using a switch now, which isnt good, is there any way my pm6 can activate vtec, and add fuel when vtec kicks in just like the p28.

And do i use a base map for the turbo, and just use the larger injectors and things??? or do i use a modified map?

Ive been looking at some of the turboprojects and my similar swap, they are just using like a fuel pressure regulator, and injectors is that good enough?

Im really confused, and just dont know what to do, fuel management, is the only thing holding me back, i just dont knwo what would be best!! Thanks and i hope i start to understand this ----

Wow thanks man. where can i get this "Stephen dicks" mini me map?? because i dont understand the tables yet, and i know that i cant make mine yet.

As for the vtec! where do i get the wire to come out of the ecu?? is there a link where i can look at this? is there a board that the vtec wire comes from??

I think that YOUR turboedit would be the best for me if i decide to stick with the OBDO, it looks like i will. the only reason i wanted to switch was because of the vtec coming from the ecu, but if you can do it with a obd0 ecu then ill try that!! and save some money


Where can i get some turboedit roms and maps at? didnt see many on your site.

So basically if i wanted to chip a ecu for NA, i could select single maps on the properties? and then if i wanted to burn a chip for FI, then dual maps?? because that introduces boost? i think im starting to get this.

Ok, i was looking on PMGFI.org, and i found under the ecu section, a Vtec for the PM6 ecu. But i went to it and its all confusing things to add or something?

I think the parts were coming from other ecu's?? i have a 90 HF and a 91 DX ECU's, can i get parts from them??

You said that the wire comes from a microcontroller, so what do i have to do to set it up? Is there a detailed link to where this has been done?

OMG if i was you and had so many people asking simple questions i dont know what i would do, i probably couldnt take it. Im new to this, and it seems very interesting, and im trying to learn as much as possible!! Thanks for everything, and its amazing how many people you help out!! ;D

Thanks, a lot. There are a lot of us that put a lot of work into this hobby, and it gets stressful sometimes, and burnout sets in, but, we try to keep going. PGMFI.org and I thank you for your understanding and appreicatation. :)

Yea that was what i stumbled across, i should probably pay someone to do it!! ill never be able to understand any of that stuff.
