I am also having a problem with supposed bad soldering. What was the end problem that you had. Yes I know this thread is kinda old.

The problem was the ecu the whole time. It had two bad capacitors
I just whipped this up for ya :P

That was part of the problem anyway. The other part was a bad crank angle sensor, or cam angle sensor in the distributor. Sorry its been awhile i don't remember exactly
