Neptune vs Hondata
1 Attachment(s)
i have used Hondata a little bit and i really liked it, but with them trying to sue blundar and costing $200 more than Neptune i am leaning towards that. does anyone here have experience with both? i downloaded the program and it seems pretty much the same with a little bit different layout. anyone have any thoughts. i am looking to buy one of them next week so lets get a move on. free sticker to the best answer

Re: Neptune vs Hondata
Hondata is for fags. They deserve to have searing barbed things shoved up their urethras for protecting company interest in a such a ---- way.
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
i agree, but if it is better for my enigne i have to give it what it needs.
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
Both are well engineered items. Neptune is the better bang for the buck
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
send me a sticker...since at the moment im pretty sure no one has any neptune rtp boards
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
I used Neptune to tune my accord f22 motor. It was great for a street tune. Didn't have it long till the board crapped out on me and I had to send it back. The dude just refunded me. I paid 450 shipped with a P06 converted to P28.

in response though, hrtuning.com says they have some on the way. although i would like to support chris if thats possible. do you or chris know when it will be available again? |
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
what the ----?
xenocron doesnt offer neptune rtp anymore? |
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
FMU and a fuel pump owns everthing
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
lol i thought i did answer it since right now unless you find a used rtp it really isnt an option. Seeing that on hrtuning is the first ive heard of there being more rtp boards, ill look into it tomorrow (by look into it i mean ill ask chris lol)

Re: Neptune vs Hondata
im seriously wondering this to. im stuck between some dickholes at hondata with no support on a s200 system and wanting to either upgrade or neptune... soooo free bump
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
thanks for the bump. i really dont want to use hondata, but if it is better than i might have to.
if you get me some good info jay, the sticker is yours. but i dont want any of that shitty worn out info though. lol |

Re: Neptune vs Hondata
Looks like we will be getting another round of Neptune RTP boards in about 2-3 weeks ;) ...guess i was just out of the loop lol
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
can I pre-order? I think I am pretty much set on it. There are quite a few 600whp+ cars on the hrtuning.com forms. I figure if the people building those cars like it, there must be something to it
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
you sir have a pm
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
as do you
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
what hondata unit are you running? I assume s200. I would upgrade to an s300, although it is pricey IMO it seems unbeatable! If you are tuning it, I would say what ever you feel more comfortable using, neptune or hondata, if its a tuner, ask them what they feel more comfortable tuning. :6
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
i do my own tuning, but i have never used Neptune. if i went with Hondata it would be the S300. thats the only way to go in my opinion. the only hondata i have ever used was the s300
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
my car should have been running by now.. i should have no ------- excuse :X

Re: Neptune vs Hondata
uberdata true story
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
i have used uberdata for along time and i liked it a lot, but i am now looking for some big numbers and the free stuff just isnt the way
and buk, what the hell? get that ---- running |
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
You said it yourself, the free stuff isnt cutting it, as my tuner would say with free software, "You get what you paid for," go with hondata s300, you will have zero complaints, and go into their forum and ask questions, there customer service is excellent.
|
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
there is a lot of support for Neptune. The creator answers almost every question on their forum. I think its possible that it could be just as good as hondata cause Neptune doesn't have the overhead. I am just looking for some info from real usage without talking about hondata on the Neptune forum.

----, if youre looking at spending thjat much on that ----, fly Leed out, and be HAPOPY with Crome... Works for me... Works very well.... ---------- Hondata. |
Re: Neptune vs Hondata
I will get back with you after my tune with blundell with my s300 with their mac ebc. But my two top picks would be either hondata or EcTune. But since i have one i dont need the other till i start to boost my 98civic d ---- series. Come on may 12th

oh, i thought crome pro added some other functions. damn, $150 just for datalogging? thats a lot.
thanks for chiming in here, i hear you are one of the best tuners on this site. what do you think about neptune? i cant get a consistant idle with crome no matter how hard i try. i get it good one day and then the next day its all gone to hell. i only have dsm 450's right now and i plan to go to 1000cc injectors soon. idle is really going to be hell |

Re: Neptune vs Hondata
Crome Gold support isn't included in the free version, I believe.
