Need your help with my IDLE AFR on TE.

I'm running TE and i have a WB to tune idle but i want to know what my target AFR should be during cold idle, right now i'm gettin 12.5-13:1 AFR dueering cold idle betwen 1300-1600 RPM. Is that alright?

When the engine warms up a bit and my narrowband kicks in it'll idles normal BUT as you know warm means lower RPM so i'm getting 16-17:1 AFR's at 700-900RPM and i hear popping noises through the exhaust. This really bugs me the most cause its a bitch to tune this portion of idle and the popping noises doesn't seem right. Which columns and rows should i be looking at?

Also one more question about tunning, if i'm getting 11.5:1 AFR at 3300RPM but my 3100 RPM block on TE is giving me my target 12.1:5 AFR, should i trim at 3100 anyways? since there isn't really at 3300RPM block. Same goes for 4900 i wanna add a bit more fuel but i don't know where to add it.

Do you have a boost gauge? Use that to get your vac numbers... use your tach to get your RPM. ...cross the cells on the map.. that is your area. Do the match for the percent difference... and wa-la, idle is tuned.

well i know where and what cells to change, say i'm at 17:1 and i want 14.7, add 15.6% or 16% fuel right? well i did and my car won't even run all i get is a solid CEL caues its overly rich.

On the same topic of adjusting fuel cells, which row would i adjust if i wanted to lean out 3300RPM? the 3100 row or the 3700 row? keep in mine 3100 and 3700 are already in my target AFR.

Did you mean to say that you get a code 1? Solid CEL means "ecu is hosed"; this can be cause by a hardware failure or something as simple as the chip / romulator not being plugged in correctly. When this happens, the car will run obscenely rich and asstons of timing will be pulled. If you are indeed throwing O2 codes, turn off O2 trim.

If you need to modify 3300, and the only cell rows are 3100 and 3700... you edit 3100, and 3700.. the ECU interpolates a quadrant of cells. The actual cell, the actual cell + one column, the actual cell + one row, and the actual cell + one row + one column.

So edit all of that....

If you're getting a solid CEL, the changes you're making to the maps are not being read. The ECU Doesn't read the chip during limp mode. Fix all of your CELs before beginning to tune.
