I got to a place in Fall River called CD Performance. It's $50/hr. dyno time but you tune it yourself. Do you have any tuning experience at all? I'd offer to work some magic but have never touched a Kpro or an Ep hatch before ;)

KPro is a little more complicated...
There is what, like 4 maps (low/high fuel & low/high ignition) and then like 3 or 4 cam angle maps each...so thats like 12-16 maps. Or so I have heard...takes a while from what Jeff Evans has told me. |

Re: NEED A TUNER for my k-pro turbo ep3 in MA
K-poop works alright. K-series is just generally annoying. i-VTECH is pretty pointless, IMO, because with how slowly the intake cam rotates in a fast NA or turbo car you don't see any power gains from it until 3rd or 4th gear, respectively, unless you're soaking up that 7% increase @ 1200 rpm off-power band in 5th gear at 30 mph hotness. Bleh. After a certain point technological finesse is just intellectual masturbation with little real world application.
K-poop isn't hard. It's just an extenuation of the "usual" OBD1 stuff. You have low + high cam fuel + ignition maps for every ten degrees of intake camshaft rotation. 0-50 degrees rotation gives you six sets of maps. K-series maps are larger than the entire OBD1 .bin. Start at 0 degrees, lock the cam advance map at 0 degrees, and tune as per normal V-tech cellular technology. Lock cam at 10 degrees, etc, and repeat as needed. There are already Revhard basemaps (calibrations) bundled with K-Manager. What I'd do is street tune with cam advance table locked, as described above, and then go back to the cam advance table that comes with the Revhard calibration of your choice. And always remember! Having a K-poop is worth 30 JDM hp! |

If there are any hitches to the tuning process, mechanical problems, troubleshooting, yup. It can be a multiple day ordeal.
