Need help with wideband input.
 

Ok I got everything working with my Crome pro, my datalogging cable and my Ostrich. The problem is the computer doesnt see my WB voltage. It reads 3.84 all the time. I checked my output from my wideband and it goes up and down and the voltage is correct with the afrs. The settings in Crome are correct as far as I can see. So my question is, do I have the WB output wire hooked up wrong to the ecu? I cut my A6 wire and connected the WB output wire to it. Is this correct? I enabled the 02 back in Crome and it didnt help. Im getting frustrated a bit. Am I supposed to leave the wire connected to the harness and just tap it? Am I supposed to tap the wire and just disconnect the stock O2? I don't know where else to go from here. The output voltage is correct the ECU just doesnt see it.

Is this using stock ecu inputs? Are you using the 3v output, or the 5v from the WB? I know my p72 can't see past 3 volts give or take. There is a mod I have to do to get the ECU to read all 5 volts. Your ecu may be different, but it may be worth looking into.

Der Im a retard. The pin out I had was wrong. THats the O2 heater. I need D14.

all you have to do is remove the resistor in J12 for the 5v mod.
But ya, you need to put the wideband input into d14 on the obd1 side.
Make sure the widebands display is reading the same as it is in crome, if not adjust the offset in crome until crome logs the same as what ur wideband is reading.

Seriously, J12 ? I thought that was just to enable full duplex on the comm port for datalogging.
This site mentions bypassing the Opamp on the O2 input, and smoothing it with a capacitor.

I'm not trying to argue, I 'd really like to know if that's all I have to do. From what I've read, the Opamp limits the input to 3.8v.

Here's the guys post on PGMFI, from 2004, talking about the mod. It seems to work.

All I know is that I hook up the PLX to the d14 pin and opened up Crome Pro and selected the PLX option. It read with in .2 and I adjusted the offset. I know my PLX is 5 volt so maybe Crome compensates? I messed with it for over an hour and it worked fine. 11.1 was 11.1 and 17.0 was 17.0 so I imagine it works.
