need help with lowbudget datalogging
well i've been looking for a lowbudget way to data log on my 87 toyota supra because i hate the fact that my lc-1 will only data log the air/fule and not the rpm. So after some looking i found this http://www.dataq.com/194.htm they also make a nicer 8 channel version so anyway what do you guys think? all i want to do is log afr, rpm, boost and iat is it worth getting of should i just bite the bullet and by the innovative aux box?

Re: need help with lowbudget datalogging
Looks like you're the guinea pig. For $25 it's gotta be worth a shot. I don't know about coding and ----, but i would assume the data directly from the sensors is raw, and wouldn't be possible to convert within that program to get usable info, other than afr.

Re: need help with lowbudget datalogging
i went ahead and bought the 8channel usb version after some looking around i found some guys using them in there corvettes so i figure for 50 bucks it worth a shot the software that comes with the logger looks very useful but if nothing else i guess after i had the raw data i could plug it all in excel i'll keep you guys updated on my progress

Re: need help with lowbudget datalogging
You do realize that with the SSI-4 you can log RPM and 3 other channels with Air/Fuel? No need to reinvent anything, test or be a guinea pig.
