You need to make sure you have the drivers installed correctly 1st, then set the COM port properly is whatever program you are datalogging.

if you are OBD1 and datalogging in ECU Control, Freelog or Crome, you also have to Clip the "j12" jumper in the ECU as well.

Re: need help with com port

i dont want to use ecu control im just going to be using uberdata to tune and do my maps. i know i am getting a signal because the light on the cable turns green and i get a rpm reading and im using my stock sensor just to make sure i have my datalogging thing setup so i dont run into more problems installing my wideband. so i dont know why its not logging really well in uber. its pissing me off and im out of answers i cant find the answers anywhere.

i had some trouble logging well in uber with accurate values...crome pro is so much easier. the easiest is my palm logger for my techedge.

you end up having to check different com ports and different inputs to get it started.

under windows XP access you control panel then find system or your device manager..after that local the USB or serial connection that your using.. after that make sure the drivers are installed correctly either by search for them under windows in the device manage settings or manually install them.. after that make sure teh COM is set correctly.. i believe its COM3 for uber. i'm not certain, and then correct the BAUD as well..
